Gahhhh I love The Sartorialist for these kind of pictures. How do they get to go to parties like this? I have seen a few, and I actually think the last one was a Great Gatsby party. What? Is this some kinda rich person thing that I just don’t get and never receive invites to because I am not classy or rich? I don’t know but I am DYING to be that kinda gal who lives like she’s Daisy Buchanan. No work, just mint juleeps an iced tea on the verandaaaaahhhh. We could even modern-ize it a bit.. There could be East Egg/West Egg gang wars and Tom would be like Ed Begley or Crispin Glover…ok, perhaps that’s too far. I’ll stop.

Ohhhhhh man, I flippin LOVE these shoes! Any flat and pointy shoe seems to appeal to me lately- I dunno something bout summer maybe…I mean, sure brogues, oxfords and jazz shoes are an obvious win in the fall with plum or grey tights and cute winter-y accessories, but in summer? Those things look unbelievable with ragged out cut offs, crisp cuffed shorts, high-waters, skinnys, anything. There is something about a dapper dress shoe with a summer sundress or onesie/jumper that is almost to adorable to be real.

It’s been done a billion times, I now this. But holy damn, do I love some western wear right now! My feelings for fringe at the moment are only overshadowed by my deep and abiding love for brogues, jazz shoes and oxfords (see above) I guess there is reason we keep coming back to it- I blame Wendy Mullins for this, but I suppose I blame her for everything good.

I am really missing the days of mix tapes. The anguish of making them, figuring out the order, the inspiration, the hidden messages..Will the recipient get what meant when I put this song in? Ratio of meaningful to silly? And when you receive them? So exciting! I was telling M how burned cd’s are just not the same, no soul and such, blah blah….and then i rediscovered a mix cd James made for me and it completely made me eat my words. Amazing amazing amazing- every song a gem and almost none I already had. Thanks Jimmy- sorry I am terrible and didn’t shower you with glitter and candy to appropriately express the gratitude I feel….however, still a bit salty about the time you told me I was “a lil catty”…. man, way to cut to the core!

yeah, yeah i know my loves. it is HOT. I am looking forward to swimmin’ at Hugh’s after work! Corey went and got me a new tube at Ace Metric and I am ready to ride….u know, when the sun goes down! Hey don’t judge me, I never claimed to be tough.

OK, so the vast majority of comments on this blog are like viagra ads and weird code…soooo if you post a comment and it takes me a minute to get it all worked out (i actually haven’t approved any yet! bad blog!) please excuse.
